I thought in light of Steve Jobs’ “don’t hold it that way” comment, this is an appropriate response : http://bit.ly/aUAcPA

iPad pre order: 1 hour in line and I was on my way home. iPhone 4 pre order: arrived at 6:25, still 200 people back at 10:15. Ugh.

iPhone Flurry
Wow. 4:30 AM alarm, pancake breakfast at IHOP with friends, and a mere 6 hour wait in line were all that stood between me and the newest rendition of Apple’s iPhone. After a few hours and a couple of FaceTime calls, I can say without hesitation that the device is leading the pack. Between the nearly unbelievable new screen, additional and upgraded cameras, and the OS update, I’m...

10 reasons not to buy Apple's new iPhone 4G →
This may be the stupidest article I’ve ever read.  Ever.  Matt Warman, the author, has a very negative opinion about a device that: Has not yet been officially announced. Has not been made available to consumers. I’m apt to think that Mr. Warman wasn’t the best hire for the Consumer Technology Editor position at the Telegraph.

NoSQL Development in Java →
I’m still looking for someone to tell me exactly what kind of situation begs for a “NoSQL” datastore, but I do find the topic very interesting. This article on IBM DeveloperWorks is a great dipping of the toe into the waters of non-relational storage.

AT&T Revamps Data Plans →
AT&T announced new data plans and pricing for smartphones (and the iPad).  I’m a bit miffed that the $30 unlimited plan that I originally bought in for is now a $25 plan with a 2GB limit.  I suppose the question is would I have needed the unlimited plan.   I feel like someone just lowered the ceiling from a healthy 10 feet to a slightly more claustrophobia-inducing 7 feet.

Chunneling
The integration project my team has been working on for the past several months finally came to a successful conclusion today as we saw data start flowing between the two systems in a most magical fashion.  I like to imagine that this is the same feeling the chaps tunneling between England and France felt when they broke through and saw the smiling faces of their counterparts on the other side....

Doomed for Failure
How many times have I attempted to blog with something resembling continuity?  Ummm…at least once.  Unsuccessfully.  So here I am again, with a clean slate and good intentions.  My goal this time?  Just put something down.  Anything.  Banish the blank page (I mean post) with something.  A quote.  A picture.  Mindless drivel. I figure, eventually, I’ll pry something worthwhile out of...
