After a few hours and a couple of FaceTime calls, I can say without hesitation that the device is leading the pack. Between the nearly unbelievable new screen, additional and upgraded cameras, and the OS update, I’m loving it.

I’d love to go on, but I am exhausted and in much need of sleepy time.

Congrats on the new phone, Mr. Jobs. Now if you could just smooth out the distribution chain, I’d be most appreciative.

Command line Google, for the geekiest among us. http://bit.ly/d5Rwrt

Command line Google, for the geekiest among us. http://bit.ly/d5Rwrt

Apple is really making it hard to give them my money.

Has not yet been officially announced.

Has not been made available to consumers.

I’m apt to think that Mr. Warman wasn’t the best hire for the Consumer Technology Editor position at the Telegraph.

NoSQL Development in Java

NoSQL Development in Java:
I’m still looking for someone to tell me exactly what kind of situation begs for a “NoSQL” datastore, but I do find the topic very interesting.

This article on IBM DeveloperWorks is a great dipping of the toe into the waters of non-relational storage.

AT&T Revamps Data Plans

AT&T Revamps Data Plans:
AT&T announced new data plans and pricing for smartphones (and the iPad). I’m a bit miffed that the $30 unlimited plan that I originally bought in for is now a $25 plan with a 2GB limit. I suppose the question is would I have needed the unlimited plan.
